I am proud to call myself a traditional artist. I work mainly in watercolours, oils and pen and ink.
I love to paint en-plein-air. My inspiration is the beauty of Northumberland, Durham and Cumberland, not only the wild countryside and seascapes, but also the townscapes, particularly early evening and sunsets.
I have illustrated several books and I am also the author and illustrator of Quays to Newcastle, a brief
history of Newcastle.
